MOUNT OLYMPOS (TAHTALI) CABLE CAR

Mount Olympos is the highest mountain in Beydağları National Park and the nearest one to the sea. It is 2366 metres long.

The Tahtalı cable is the longest in Europe and the second longest in the world. It connects the top of the mountain and the Mediterranean Sea. A ride on the cable to the top takes 20 minutes. During this journey, you can enjoy the splendid views of the characteristic flora of the region, full of coniferous trees, cedars and endemic vegetation from a 360 degrees angle of sight and breath in the fresh mountain air. You can have something to eat or drink at the restaurant on the top of the mountain.

Making a reservation beforehand, adventurous visitors can do paragliding and bail at the highest altitude in the world.

As for hiking, there are different walking tracks from the top of the mountain to Beycik village, taking 4 hours and to Çukuryayla, taking 6 hours. These tracks offer nice views to hikers and mountain bikers.
