20 minutes from Çıralı, Phaselis used to be an important port city built by Rhodians in 693 BC.
Roman and Byzantium ruins have reached the present day. It was not exposed to the continuous attacks by the pirates like its neighbour Olympos. City walls built against the pirate attacks, arches, port street, port entrance, Adrien gate and the theatre dating back to Hellenistic period are worth seeing. Aqueduct bridge is the most important structure that reached today.
Entrance to Phaselis is not free of charge. You are free to get in if you have a museum card.
